Belgrade’s history dates all the way back to 600 BC. It carries with it a unique history and charm in surviving all this time through over 115 wars and 44 city razings. Belgrade is a city that has withstood more than just the test of time and is back better than ever.

Green Studio Hostel - We have free walking tours offered at the hostel by Belgrade Walking Tours around most of the main sights in Belgrade every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Kalemegdan – One of the most impressive features and one of the oldest, most important forts in history now turned into a city park used by all in the center with beautiful views of the rivers.

Knez Mihailova – Main pedestrian street in Belgrade full of cafes, bars and the city’s fashionable shopping or just strolling center. Packed with people all the time strolling down the catwalk.

Skadarlija – The bohemian quarters of Belgrade where famous artists and poets in the past spent their days. Full of great authentic restaurants with lovely local folk music.

Nikola Tesla Museum – A great museum dedicated to the grandfather of electricity with many of his still literally shocking expirements on display for all to marvel.

Military Museum – Full of ancient items back to Rome, this is a must see museum for anyone located in Kalemegdan, the spot of some of the most important battles in history.

Zemun – Located just 15 minutes away from the center is a 2nd city right in Belgrade. Different, older architecture, great restaurants and bars on the Danube make this a great short trip.

Belgrade Nightlife – This is the true must see and do of Belgrade. Make sure you save enough of your time and energy for it!

Belgrade: World’s #1 Party City

Belgrade is Serbia and Europe’s city that never sleeps with a nightlife atmosphere that rivals any in the world. Clubs and bars have parties nightly with a diverse choice of music. Every night of the week is happening in Belgrade. The nightlife in Belgrade is not to be taken lightly – rest and prepare to be out well into the next day!

Tuesday or Friday, summer or winter – none of it matters. Belgrade’s clubs open up in the summer on river boats or “splavs” filling the Danube with beats until sunrise. In winter the splavs close up but always new bars and clubs pop up everywhere downtown keeping the party going year round. Belgrade and Serbia are also full of concerts, festivals and events all year round.

There’s too many splavs, boats, clubs and bars to try to start to list, but below are some places where you can check out some information on them and what’s going on tonight in the city.

Belgrade Hot Spot – Great website for checking out parties that are going on in the city. It surprisingly keeps up to date nightly in English with nightlife in Belgrade each and every night.

Nadlanu – Another great website with even more of what’s going on nightly in Belgrade’s nightlife, though this one’s in Serbian only, but google translate can help you out.

Festivals + Events Year Round

From the best music fest in Europe, EXIT festival in Novi Sad, to Guča Trumpet festival and the largest festival in Europe, the Belgrade Beer Fest, Belgrade and Serbia have massive unique music festivals that rival none in the world and will blow you away.

EXIT Festival – The EXIT Festival was voted Europe’s best festival and is one of the biggest music festivals out there. Takes place every July in the center of Novi Sad right inside an ancient fortress.

Guča Trumpet Festival - An insane trumpet festival in the heart of Serbia in the village of Guča, a must visit for festival lovers of any kind! A one of a kind Balkan experience held yearly in August.

Belgrade Beer Fest – The largest festival in Europe held in the center of Belgrade with live music and a free (only entrance) delight for the beer lovers in us all. Held yearly in August.

Fruška Gora - A short trip from Belgrade and just outside of Novi Sad lies a beautiful national park full of Monasteries, vineyards, and quaint picturesque villages.
